I have thought about this too and was going to take pictures next time I butchered some quail. (but that will be a while)
What I do is use the bottom of a 2 liter soda bottle as a killing cone (just cut it down on both ends until the right size).
After it has bled out (a few seconds). I set them in a bucket until I have killed 5 or 6 of them. Then I sit down somewhere and dry pluck them. They are so easy to dry pluck but it does tear the skin a little.
I then cut open the cavity on the bottom and use a finger to two to empty it out. (this is almost harder than plucking)
Then I put mine in the frig for two days then in the freezer.

Point taken on the similar but different ave.

Should the instructions be a thread or a page? Maybe whomever is willing to make the guide could use some member page space and others could send them pix and maybe cover the details of boiling times and such in this thread as sorta a living draft?
