Hello all! I have 2 male pekin ducks. They are brothers, and have been raised together. Since this spring, they have been constantly fighting. Especially in their pond! The one duck has pulled all the feathers off the left side of the others face.
Then 2 minutes later, they are best friends again!
I have tried separating them but they go crazy without each other.

Will this pass?? Or what should i do?
Thanks so much!

Separate them! It's the season of the "hormone" and it's brutal so keep them apart but so they can still see each other. You may have to put up a double fence depending on your fencing material so they can't bite each other through the fence.

Is there any chance you could rehome one of the males to a good home and buy more females for the other drake, Being separated from each other for the rest of their life doesn't seem like the best life for them, it may die down after the breeding season, but it's not a guarantee.

I'm doing the same right now only I've got a welded wire fence between them. Now they have 2 welded wire fences between them about a foot apart because they'd fight right through the fence. They are ok with the "no fly zone" now.
HA! that's what I called the small area behind my garage. I used to have a fence on each side with about 10 feet in-between, sometimes they'd sit by the fences yelling at each other!

My two drakes were fighting too. My Welsh drake had pulled enough feathers to start to make a balding spot on my Black East Indie. So I am using a dog xpen to seperate them from each other right now. each boy has a girl with him so he isn’t lonely but non of the ducks liked it, but we didn’t have any fence fighting today. Not sure if that will last.
