We have a few roos. 2 have been really sweet. 1 is on OEGB (and my favorite) and the other is a d'uccle mix. Just in the past couple of days the d'uccle mix is going after the OEGB and he wants blood! Colonel had a huge chunk out of his waddle now and lots of black spot ( I believe where he's been pecked) all over his face. He seems fine. Just wanted to make sure this isn't more than that as we've had lots of mosquitos already. No other problems with the other birds, just this one. Also I don't think the waddle will "regrow", but looking for anyone's experience in this area.

I had the same thing happen with a bantam cochin, Stinkerbeau who up and decided one day that he was going to be the only roo and he was going to take out my gentle giant Big Daddy, the cuckoo marans. Stinkerbeau was relentless and absolutely would not stop. I had to segregate him. He spent almost two weeks in jail, and as soon as I let him out, he went straight back after Big Daddy. I had to rehome him. It was all I could do short of wringing his bratty little neck.

No, the waddle won't grow back. The naughty bird has done his damage. Now you have to decide which one stays and which one goes.
