I have a 16 week old buff orpington pullet who injured her leg a week ago. I first noticed her limping and the next day she wasn't using it at all. I've had her confined in a crate for a week and she's not making any improvement. She is still eating and drinking. I can't feel any breaks but she isn't able to straiten it or put any weight on it. This is my first experience with chickens but I feel like it's maybe time to cull her. Any advice or suggestions? I

I am dealing with a limping chicken too. Though mine can still use her foot an hobble around. I suspect mine injured or hip. After a vet appointment he thinks joint issues too because she can still move her leg and grab things with her foot. If she cant move her foot around and is not using leg I might suspect she has broken something or sprained something severely. Have you felt any swelling or heat in her leg or foot?
The vet told me to give my hen low dose aspirin daily (81mg) daily for 3 weeks plus a high protein feed and keep her quiet and inactive. My hen is chilling in a small pen in my living room. You could try an aspirin to see if that helps. It definitely helps my girl.
