So, I have 6 hens, 4 red sex links and two buff orpington, I recently added the two buff orpington a week ago. As first the lashed out on each other then they all where fine. I expected that. Then my husband and I built a bigger coop and run for them over the weekend it's 5x6x8 and the run in 25ft x 10ft so they have more than enough room and I let them free range sometimes. What I didn't expect is half my flack is going bloody or just stopped laying so I only get about 3 eggs a day and, one the the new buffs thinks it's a roo!!! I couldn't believe what I saw yesterday and this morning, she was trying to crow! She hasn't played at all since I got her, and she kind of a bully, is there anything I can do to snap her out if this or will she be this way indefinitely? What should I God? I really don't want to have a hen that's not laying any eggs, and acting like a roo, otherwise I'd get a roo lol

Are you positive it is a pullet? Orpington cockerels can be slow to mature.

Definitely a hen, I was told she's a year old

I've had her for a week now and she's hasn't layed and two of my other girls stopped laying too but this one tries to crowning the morning, she even sounds like a rooster... it's really strange, I've never seen this before..
