I rescued two chickens from my vet office. They were attacked by someone’s dogs but had been healing great. I kept them indoors. Not even 2 days later, one of the hens was hospitalized because she was extremely fatigue and anemic (21). They treated her with the injectable antibiotic, tube fed her, gave her lots of vitamin supplements and then she started to feel better until she passed away not even 5 days later at the vet hospital. We were all so confused how this happened. The necropsy showed sepsis was the cause.
Now her sister appeared to be having the same symptoms. Starting 2 weeks ago. She is anemic at (28), really tired. So they prescribed her Clavamox 3x a day to treat infections and gave her the implant to stop laying eggs. Fast forward to now, she’s on a second round of antibiotics and is refusing to eat.

I’m here as a last stitch option for advice on a different antibiotics or if anyone knows what could be going on? Thank you so much.

We couldn't override what your vet has prescribed or advised you.

My only thought is to try a vitamin and probiotic regimen with her. She's definitely going to need probiotics after going through two rounds of antibiotics. Hydro-Hen is one brand but there are many kinds that can be mixed in their water. For vitamins, I'd put Poultry Cell or Nutra-Drench in her water.

This is most likely not going to cure anything more than two rounds of antibiotics did, but it should help her overall well-being.
