I am new to this forum and also to raising chickens. I do not have mine yet but will be getting them soon. Where we recently moved has a large existing coop and run that has not been used for a while but is in great shape. They are both very tall in height, able to stand in both and walk around but I am confused though that there is no way for me to get into the run to clean it. (Just a small opening for the chickens to go from their coop) am I missing something? Any suggestions on how to clean it out?

If its detachable from the coop, then thats doable. If not, maybe you will be better of redesigning it, so it can be removed.

Or maybe frame a door in the side of the run that you could walk through? Can you post a picture of your setup?

They might not have put a door into the run......many don't.

I think there should be access to the run from the outside of run......
......but you really don't need to 'clean' the run, if you have the right bedding in there.
