Perhaps you could try calling a local wildlife rescue or zoo and see if they might like to take them.

Raptor rescues will not want birds infected with coccidiosis.

I have no advice for your situation but can hopefully offer support for your mental well being. First, congrats on taking that impossible first step to put yourself first. Animal lovers and co-dependant people (aka: many alcoholics) have an extremely difficult time doing this. Make sure you have a super strong support system around you, and an amazing therapist, because having to cull pets you have bonded with is not usually recommended in the first year of recovery. Taking it one day, one hour, one minute and yes, one breath at a time is good advice. I am so sorry you are in this situation, my heart and many hugs go out to you

Good point. I didn't even think about that. I was thinking more like large mammals or reptiles.
