Need advice on how to splint a chickens leg

How do you splint a 5 week old chickens leg

I went on YouTube and typed how to splint a chicken leg and there were several videos.

I brought my chicken to the vets and paid $75 they told me it was dislocated and it had to be amputated or they had to put her down they didn't wrap it the only thing they did was give her pain meds.I need a second opinion because I do not believe she needs it amputated or put down

I tried wrapping it myself and it doesn't help
