I had my rooster and my favorite hen mate, and now I have this (I think) fertile egg. Btw, I kept them together for 2 and a half days. Now what do I do? I have it in a heating pad, but how often to I turn it, or whatever? Could you help me on this?

And could someone PLEASE answer? I'm new at this.

You aren't going to be able to hatch this egg on a heating pad. You'll need an incubator or a broody hen. Humidity and stable temperatures are vital to the embryo's growth and development, and these things cannot be controlled and maintained on a heating pad.

You'll be better off to toss the egg and learn more about incubation, then start again when you're ready.

Really? That's good to know...

What if I put water on the egg every so often, and then put it back in the heating pad?? That's a good idea, I mean for humidity.

you need an enclosed environment that shield the egg from temperature swings and bacterial infection. Applying water directly to the eggs would encourage bacteria, unfortunately.
