My dog has issues with this kind of thing too. All I do is daily soaks[I squirt it right on the wounds, let it drip off] of Betadine. Also, I spray him all over with the blue bottle of Adam's flea and tick mist every 3rd day. After the flea spray, he is less itchy. Once the wounds heal over some, they itch less too. Anti itch stuff is worthless, all brands fail.
