I have two peacock eggs that I want to put under my broody Silkie. She has about 9 eggs, do I take those away and just put the peacock eggs under her, or do I leave some and just replace a few with the eggs? I know not to let her raise them because of disease, So can I put golfballs or plastic eggs under her with the peafowl eggs. I need some advice please!
. I would take most of her eggs away, then give her one peafowl egg, see what she does. I like them to roll the eggs under themselves. If she does, then remove the other chicken eggs and give her another. She would be fine hatching them and caring for them for a time. I just don't house chickens and peafowl together, but one Silkie with the babies.... If you've not had problems with her, is a low chance of problems.
