We have about 25 two week old red ranger meat birds that we just moved from a smaller container to a horse trough. Before that we had two containers. When we put them all in the bigger brooder the chicks ganged up on two of them, pecking their tails and drawing blood. We separated the injured ones before it got too bad. I put blu-kote on the affected area and left them alone for about 24 hours. When I tried to reintroduce one of them the rest immediately started messing with it again. This is our first batch of chickens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also--does too much time in "solitary" stress a bird too much. Thanks.
