a guy from work brought me 6 swan eggs to put in my bator. He has to relocate the female and male and could not take the eggs. He THINKS they have been setting for somewhere around 3 weeks. I am afraid they were cooled to much before he got them here. Any advice on what I should do?

Well, if they had been incubated for 3 weeks, and then kept at room temp for a period longer than a few minutes, odds are they would have died. However, these forums are full of stories of miracles, so it's possible one or more could make it.

Do you really have much to lose at this point? Candle them, stick them in the incubator, wait a few days, and candle again to see if anything seems to be happening. I don't know what the incubation period is, but I'm going to guess something like maybe 36 to 40 days?

I hate to do much till they have been stable for awhile. He put them in a warm towel and a blanket to bring them to me, but they felt pretty cool to me. Will check them un a day or two for movement... Thanks. I hate to think that they may have died...

These geese hatched babies every year on the pond they were on and every year the turtles got the babies, so maybe better to die in the shell than pulled under by a turtle...
