need advice on treating ducks that were attacked

Well I went ahead and tried...it's so dried and matted I couldn't really get enough blood off without upsetting her (I tried it on Blanche first, she's the most chill of the three). But when I put her back in the tub she went over to drink some water, and has been drinking every few seconds since. Poor Tony tried and it was like he couldn't stretch his head down far enough to get to it :( so I put something under it so it's easier to reach. Might go ahead and try Rose... she doesn't look quite as matted up.
Edit: Here's a video after I tried it on Rose, who didn't tolerate it nearly as long - I got a wing flap to the face and some angry duck noises from her.

I know it's scary but follow your gut! I've got medical background and I'm ok with doing things myself but then again I don't have an avian vet that I can go to. I would think that if the duck is calm it wouldn't hurt to very gently clean things up. Before you do it how do you feel
It's only scary because he explicitly said I shouldn't; otherwise that would've been the first thing I'd have done (once the panic from the whole ordeal subsided, of course).
He's not an avian vet...as I recall he's not even an "exotic" vet (I took a ferret there once like 10 years ago and he admitted he mostly worked on dogs and cats). But he did seem like he knew what he was checking for this morning, which made me want to comply, despite my gut feeling.

Are most of the wounds around their necks and head? I believe I’d lower that water just a little more looked like that was a little painful for your one WH to get too.
Yes, nothing below the neck. I still can't tell if they're punctures or cuts. :/
Yeah, Tony can reach it better but the girls can't as easily now...I'll look for something else, that's was just my first try after I saw him wincing.

Your ducks are so beautiful!
Thank you. Their sister, Dorothy, was one of the ones killed last night - she was soooo big and fluffy, I'm gonna miss snuggling her so much! :hit IMG_20170125_161141.jpg

Yes, a coyote or fox will most definitely take the entire body with very little if any blood or feathers as evidence. They will take it far off away from where they found it (or to a den) and will come back for more. Remember these animals are opportunists and will come back if given a chance. So so sorry for your loses. I had a fox kill 12 of my birds leaving 3 alive (only because they hid for 2 days and I couldn't even find them) so your lucky you have the ducks you still have. Good Luck
