Need advice.. Back story- I was supposed to have all hens, but I’m not sure that is the case and I cannot keep roosters.. Is there any chance any of these are hens? Pics 1-3: Green Queen, Pics 4-6: Easter Egger, Pics 7-9: Mottled Ancona \ They are a little over 8 weeks and have grown up together. The flock total is 9.
The Green Queen was injured a few weeks ago from a hawk and has been in isolation. She has recovered- woohoo! I have been working to reintroduce her but a couple of times the two dominant chicks and her really go at it. I have also seen other hens and her go at it. I started with a laundry basket because it was more covered but now she is in a pen and more vulnerable. I’m wondering if it is worth all the time and effort to reintroduce when I will need to rehome all of the roos anyways.
I do not enjoy the pecking order lol
Any advice is appreciated!
