We have 6 hens and 2 roosters. One of our roos started with straight blood stool, we started corrid in the water yesterday, today is day 2 of corrid, but our other rooster has bloody stool now, and (Henry) our first roo is starting to be inactive :( Very wooried that we are going to lose one or more of our flock!! Can Corrid be giving with a syringe to each one individualy? If so, how much and how often. I read on the bootle, but it kind of confused me. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Are all chickens being treated? They all have to be treated for cocci. How much are you giving them?

Need some more info please. how old are these birds? I have no idea about giving it any other way except through the water. If you want to put some into a needleless syringe and give it orally, just be careful they don't aspirate with it. That'll cause a bunch more problems you don't need or want. If they won't drink, you can drip some onto their beaks and get them to take it in that way.

But first, please, how old?

Not 100% sure on age. We have 5 that are 8-9weeks old and 3 that are approx 6weeks old. As soon as I noticed one of our 9week old roos bloody stool, I researched the issue and started corrid within 24hours. I added 2tsp to 1gallon of water and let the whole flock drink out of it.
I hope that is ok?

When I posted earlier both of my roos were looking very lethargic and not wanting anything to do with food and water. So I didn't know if there was a faster way to get a dose into their system? I do have an update though. We made them take plenty of drinks today and it seems like they are both just a little better, but nowhere near normal. They did eat and drink some this evening. Is this a good sign?

Which Corid are you using? The 9.6% liquid or the 20% powder? The liquid dosing is 9.5 ml per gallon of water, for the 20%, the dosing is 1/2 tsp. per gallon. [Dawg53 is who the dosing info came from] I use a syringe when using the liquid as it's hard to get the right amount using anything else. With Corid you don't want to guess at how much you are giving. Too little and it won't work as well, too much and you're hurting the bird by causing too much of the thiamine to be blocked from the system.
