Need advice, Very worried

I have one more question,
Say I do use the new soil and the deep litter method over it. When it is time to clean it all out at the end of the year or however long, will I also have to get new soil?
My dad seems to think we are going to need to replace the dirt under the bedding as well. He says its gonna be so nasty and smelly.. but I just haven't read that anywhere, so wanted to be sure.
If you manage your deep litter well, the soil beneath should be fine.

I remove about half of my run in summer and pile the rest of the deep liter into a pile in one corner. The hens will scratch and spread it and I just rack it back into the pile. Gives them something to do.
The run will not stink. The deep liter breaks down into a beautiful soil. The chickens will turn the bedding. This time of year I rake in new bedding and straw all over the run. When things begin to break down the rich soil gives off heat. Some people throw in food scraps. I do not because I don’t want to attract mice or predators. It takes awhile to get your DL going. It’s like a composting pile. Next years will be better than your first year. I’m a clean and neat freak so when I say it doesn’t stink....it doesn’t.
My hens love it in winter. They naturally scratch a little area to lay down in. It’s not like they lay in a pile of poo.
Best wishes
