Need Advice

[8 Chicks 1967]

I've raised 3 sets of chicks with no problem. This morning 4 of my Swedish Flower chicks were just kinda standing around acting sluggish. They are 4 weeks old. No vent problems. Chick starter grower,heatlamp ans shavings. I have the heat down to about 80 now. Clean water.

Any suggestions to look for. Waste looks ok as well. I haven't been putting as much chick grit in their food.

I'd put them all on Corid for Coccidiosis immediately. It is not assured that they have Coccidiosis but it is killer and can act really quickly at that stage. They don't always have bloody stools with Cocci. Don't waste time.

X2 on treating cocci. At their age they shouldn't need a heat source any longer. Check the temperature. They may be getting too hot.

Its a really big box and I have the light angled. I will just replace with a light bulb this evening. The basement is about 75 this time of year anyway.

I'd say treat with Corid and turn the light OFF.
At one month old 75F is not cold for them.
