Right now mine are in with my chicken flock. They have a covered run and access to it 24/7 all year. They do spend some time out there in the winter, but mostly stayed in their house. I just made sure that the entrance to their house is on the down wind side from the prevailing wind direction.Thank you Frosty. Do you let yours outside in the winter?
I have to say thank you to everyone for all of your advice. I haven't had any response from our local bird sanctuary.
Congratulations!Great news! I was able to acquire a peahen about a week ago. So now my Albert has his Victoria. We have already begun the layout for a bigger run, which we will build in the spring. I wish we had a larger property, I can see that this is going to be addictive and I will want more.( I am very limited for space though). I'm loving all the pictures you have posted and am getting some great ideas! Thanks again for all your help.![]()
