It has been very warm here so the past 2 days my 3 week old chicks have spent the day outside. In the evening I go out to collect them and put them back in their brooder. 5 of the 6 come running over and easily let me pick them up. The 6th one runs from me and will not let me "catch it." I've tried enticing it with treats, sitting quietly until it comes near me, etc. as soon as I reach out my hand it takes off. Last night I got lucky and happened to grab its leg before it ran but I don't want to hurt or traumatize it...I don't know what to do! Any advice?

Herd it to a corner and grab it :)

thats what I do just dont step on him/her. anything you do will prolly result in some screaming, but they get over it.

Mine diddnt like being brought in, but since they are 7 weeks and most have their back feathers I just ran a heat lamp out to the fledging pen so they can stay out.
