can some of our experienced duck owners help me? I live in upper MI where it gets brutally cold. we will have a heated waterer in the coop where my 2 ducks live with the chickens. how do I make sure the ducks can dunk their bills like they are suppose to? this spring they were babies so I had a little pan for them to play in but that won't work this winter, or is that all they need? we are thinking of putting in a pond liner on the floor for the winter, cuz they made such a mess this spring. any advice will be helpful for the ducks or the chickens, we haven't wintered either before. thanks everyone.
