Need advise about my hens bullying the new rooster!!

Hey guys, Ive started with hens and have had then for about 4 weeks now and they all have established their pecking order, and now I have tried to bring in a rooster and I have 2 or 3 hens that are real bullies!!! they will not leave him alone and the poor thing is being chased around... will he eventually show them that he is the boss? anyone have any suggestions?

First off...

Integrating any new chicken can be tricky. Is the rooster younger/smaller than the hens? I would guess he'll assert himself eventually. As long as no blood is being shed, I'd let them work it out.

thanks! they are approx. the same age.... I just feel really bad for the him. it seems to only be 2 hens that really go after him most of the times.
