What size bag did you buy? 50Lb?
You may find that they start to like the pellets after they have had them for a while. One thing to keep in mind is that with having only three chickens they take a while to get through a bag. I have 4 now and make sure that I don't keep the food for over two months since it loses it's palatibilty and nutrional value in about that time (which starts at the time the food was milled).
