how long does it take to see an embryo? My little white hen, Sweetie, has been brooding for two days, and i do not know if i should lose hope if i find nothing?

I can see embryonic development at 2 days into incubation when I candle the egg, but it's best to wait for day 5-7 to candle the egg, as that is when the veining is really apparent. In other words, I would wait another week and then candle the eggs. Either that or just leave her alone for 21 days (occasionally checking for rotten eggs) and see if something fuzzy pops out from underneath her.
