Hi,
The chicks hatched, the brooder set up, they have a 60 watt on them now. Need the 85 watt below. Does this blub have Teflon on it? Anyone know??
Red Outdoor Floodlight GE Miser Mode # 13472 PAR 38
This 85 watt PAR shaped flood bulb is an energy saver - it gives out the same amount of light as a 100 watt. It has a medium skirt base, is red, has a 2,000-Hour rated life and an overall length of 5-5/16"
Thanks,
Karen
Here are pics of the light and the packaging. The packaging si the same, only mine says "85 watts" on it.

Does the label talk about PTFE?

edit to add: Anything that is "shatter proof" has teflon

It doesn't say anything about those issues. Just the model number 13472. The UPC is 0- 4316890622-7
newer packaging says it is an indoor/outdoor floodlight. But this older packaging ( same model number) only says outdoor floodlight.

Finally, after calling all over the place, found http://www.lightingsupply.com/top-brands/ge.aspx
which is open till 8p.m. in Michigan. They looked it up and say this bulb does not have any Teflon coating on it. It is just a red floodlight.
Yeah!
