We started our flock a few months ago. We have leghorns, pullets, Ameroucanas, Rhode Island reds. However we "jumped the gun a little and need to find out the County ordinances for Comal County on how many hens we can have and what permits we may need to pull. We are currently harvesting , on average, a dozen eggs per day and need to start selling. We are in Emerald Valley. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to just call your city/town hall and ask. Don't say you already have them, just ask if there are laws on keeping chickens and if so what they are. If they don't know they will know how to find out and will get back to you.

Thank you. I know better than to volunteer info. We are in unincorporated County territory in Canyon Lake so I take it I need to go to the County Clerks office?

Yep, I would start there. If they don't know they will hopefully point you in the direction of someone who does, or find out and get back to you.
