My favorite rooster has suddenly lost every single hen he has except for one. I doubt even this will keep him alive, but I've got to try.
A dog from my neighbor came in and killed all of his hens AND my Barred Plymouth Rock pullets. The neighbor is going to be paying for his actions and the dog has been killed in the act so there is nothing else to be done. I am heartbroken, but my rooster is actually in a depression. He will not move from his post at the front of the coop.
Please, if you happen to have ANY production Black Australorps or Light Brahmas I am in desperate need of some help.
Here is a photo of him with his flock taken last weekend:
He is my oldest bird and I have a feeling this is the end of it, but I've got to try.
