Need calming down!

people say 18 hours after pipping they shuld have hatched. If not after 24 hours then assist. My last bantam hatched a little late and I was really expecting it to hatch early based on everything I had read so dunno why some people say they hatch early.

There are lots of different bantam breeds so maybe some do.

After hatching chicks for fifty+ years, I have found that 21 day number to be very accurate in most breeds regardless of size. I have had hens that seldom left the nest that maybe hatched a bit sooner. Also, I have noticed that during the heat of summer they tend to hatch a little early as well. Another observation that I have made is those chicks that hatch earliest are more vigorous and healthier from the get go.
