My son was the runt of the litter so to speak, always smaller than his classmates, clumsy and awkward. Then he hit puberty a little later than the others. But when he did...OH MY. That boy is now 25 and 6'2", slender and has developed a self-confidence that I find amazing, considering how he was as a child. And the ladies fall all over him. Your day will come dont be so quick to grow up...it isnt what its cracked up to be.

As for the bullying...my son uses a quick wit to lash back at people, always has. However, it wasnt until he stood up for himself physically that people left him alone. I am not necessarily condoning violence. But dont ever allow anyone to walk over you. Your not a door mat.

I am very sorry dear. It was a bad assumption. The same does apply though. Attitude is everything. Don't let them ruffle your feathers. Give it time. You will develop when the time is right. My husband alway says he never met the girls worth keeping till he was older. He was a bit of a late bloomer. Man was a broom stick with a baby face. Cute as everyones little brother or best friend but never the object of affection. Just have fun for now and tell the idiots to zip it.

If its any consolation being an early bloomer stinks just as bad. I think a certain span in your life just is stinky no matter what. I'll take getting older to going through the teens any day of the week. Chin up

I also assumed you were female....I apologize. My son is 12 years old and has also inherited the "late bloomer" thing from me I guess.......People think he is 9 years old. He is very short and has a slight build like a 9 year old. He gets all kinds of stupid comments. Shockingly enough most of them come from grown adults. They will ask how old my kids are and I say he is 12...they respond with " HE is 12 .....WOW he is SO tiny, I thought he was 8 or 9......They say it right in front of my son! PEOPLE ARE SO STUPID! Study hard in school and really make something of yourself for the future! You will grow into a well rounded young man in due time. I am sure some of the teasing is in fact jealousy...5'10" is is taller than most men EVER get! LUCKY YOU! Before too long the girls will be falling all over you and that WILL REALLY make the teasers MAD

!!!!! Be happy being yourself, and don't let them bother you too much! I know that is easier said than done...words hurt too....But the time in middle school and high school is a difficult and confusing time in life for almost everyone. It is just a point in life were you are trying to find out who you are and you want to be. That time passes and then there is the rest of your life...so plan for that and you will accomplished and proud of who you have become.
