We bought our chicken coop from a family that was moving, took it down at their house, reassembled it at our house(with some minor modifications). I also bought her RIR's and all her Silkies. In the pics you can see the chicken house is a two story, the top is fully enclosed with access doors and a ramp. The bottom is simply open. My plan is to separate the Silkies from the RIRs so I thought I would build an attached coop for the Silkies. We are going to enclose a pen with a top around the entire perimeter of the house, back to the white chain link fence and over to the other side of the barn. Does anyone have any other thoughts on design for the house and pen? Again, we want to divide the pen for the Silkies and RIR's to stay separate. We already had to add the lattice as my four legged helpers keep thinking game-on!
