Need Coop Advise!!

Hello Everyone! We just built a coop in March.It has 5 nest boxes. We originally started with 10 hens. Now we are up to 17!! How many nests do i need for 17 hens? Thanks!

newbie myself but I read in a book 2 to 3 hens per nest ...hope that helps...Stories Guide to Raising Chicks can be checked out at local library and is very informative!!

You've got plenty of nest boxes.

Yup, you'll be fine.. So long as all of the nest boxes aren't occupied at once, it's good.. Rule of thumb is at least 1 box per 5 birds.
