HI I AM LOOKING FOR SOME EGGS FOR MY SONS CLASS AT SCHOOL I HAVE A BARNYARD MIX AND I WOULD GLADDLY GIVE SOME OF MINE BUT I DO NOT THINK THEY ARE FERTILE. I HAVE A LF HENS AND A BANTAM ROO. I HAVE 2 BROODIES IN THE PEN ONES BEENS SITTING FOR 24 DAYS AND NOTHING HAS HATCHED WHICH LEAVES ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE NOT FERTILE IF ANYONE HAS ANY HATCHING EGGS THAT I COULD GET AT A REASONIABLE PRICE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. HIS TEACHER WOULD LOVE SOME FUZZY FOOT CHICKS LIKE SILKIES BUT WOULD GLADLY TAKE AND BREED SO THAT THE KIDS CAN SEE THE PROCESS OF HATCHING CHICKS. SEE THEM HATCH AND TO LEARN ALL ABOUT THEM.

You might check with your local chicken processing company. I know that the Arkansas based companies give the science teachers eggs that are at lockdown stage for them to hatch in the classrooms. I am sure you could probably just get new fertile eggs from them also. Good luck.

thank you everyone for the information and offers but i have found some close by to bring to my sons class a nice pastor in our community had some eggs and was nice to give my sons class 8 eggs i thew a few of mine in but do not think they will hatch since my broodys hens did not hatch and was rotten after 21 days but does not hurt to try
