I Had a bunch of Roos a while back, and they did alot of damage to my girls back feathers and shoulders, all is growing back since I culled most of them(roos). However I have 2 Cochin girls that look like they have had the scull caps ripped loose , One kinda hangs to the side alittle and is very hard, the other is upright but swollen and hard, both of the girls are eating and moving about fine and don't act as if there is any brain damage, but you can physically move the swollen part around with your fingers like you would a knee cap. The swelling does not seem to be going down , Is there anything I can do to help them? Thankyou for your help! Sandy

Ok im confused, how will chicken saddles help my Cochins heads? I already got rid of the offending Roosters, I was wondering what I could do to help my hens and there swollen heads.
There was no damage to the skin just feathers torn out. And that is already on the mend.

if indeed they are just swollen the swelling should go down in a few days. if you see the skull... trim away the hard dead skin and in time it will grow back.
