Need help and fast!!! Update:New problem!

I would try to help at this point. My father completely removed a chick from a totally cold egg that the hen abandoned and I ended up warming him under my armpit for nine hours on the couch (in a baby blanket) and he grew up to be a big ol' mean rooster! Follow your gut instincts and do what you think is best.

I too helped one hatch, I spent hours moistening and peeling. Then I tucked him in my fluffy bathrobe for about 4 hours, watched a lot of tv. He didn't straighten out until he was warmed thoroughly and rested. He is now a very healthy 10 month old rooster who is still my baby. Give it a chance to rest and warm and reassess.

My little guy that my dad retrieved from the egg had foot problems too. It just took time and worked itself out. He was fine.

Ok we made him a little bandaid foot thing because 1 foot was pretty bad and is was stuck that way but he looks better now

Excellent. You'll want to take it of (carefully- the adhesive can tear off their skin if it's too sticky) daily or every two days to scheck it out and to let their skin breathe a bit.

Good job on this baby- I hope it grows big and strong!
