So momma is tired and not getting rest but sitting on eggs for 2 months now. Bought eggs for her to have but incubating them and they are day 17 now and out of 8 only 2 look viable. Went out to check on her tonight and randomly decided to candle eggs! 5 are viable and growing! Brought them in cause shes got 8 more shes sitting on and these were at the side but moving in the shell! So have them in the incubator to warm up as they are being crowded out. So question how in the world do I do this with 7 eggs and 5 at different dates? The ones we took are anywhere from day 6-7 and day 15!

If you only have one incubator and one broody, you will need to put them all in the incubator. At day 18 for the older eggs, you lock down the incubator and raise the humidity. Whatever is going to hatch of those eggs will. Don't open the incubator for 24 hours after the first one hatches. Once the 24 hours is over, take out those chicks and put them in the brooder.

So it wont hurt the new egg I put in when we lockdown will it?

my broody was sitting on 13 eggs and she is a bantam only one of hers hatched and she left the others i candled and 4 were still viable and one had an internal pip, i placed all in bator and raised humidity it hatched no problems when dried i placed under her at night and she accepted sadly after a week something got into her cage and took it (i think a gopher rat as i saw one the next day close to the location) and within 4 days all hatched out.

mark day 15 egg and try to turn eggs at least 2 times a day for 1-2 days then raise humidity for lockdown. when that egg hatches and dries remove to brooder or place under momma at night then remove as much humidity as possible to 30-40 % and if you have a turner place the other eggs or hand turn 3 times a day til lockdown. Follow pictures on YouTube as best you can of what they should like to get an idea of the dates.

Good luck with your hatch. Hope this helps

Thank you! I got 2 going into lockdown tomorrow as they went in on May 4th. They were the ones that shipped. Then I have the others and the day 15. Yes the broody chick is a bantam as well and boy is she tired. My question now is ok we got 2 that are day 18 today/tomorrow one that is day maybe 16 now and the other 4 are about 2 weeks behind them. So with the lockdown do I lockdown til the 2 18 day and the 16 day hatch? Them start the other from there? Will it hurt the other 4?
