Need help ASAP!!!

I have got turkey eggs in my incubator right now and they are supposed to hatch within 24-48 hrs. My brother-in-law gave me 22 pheasant eggs to hatch, I was wondering what I need to do with them until I can put them in the bator, and they are pretty dirty and was also wondering if I need to clean the off and if so how do I go about doing it? Thanks

Keep them in a cool place (round 75-78) if you have them in an egg carton make sure the pointed end is down and the large round end up. If you can tilt the carton slightly back and forth to turn them every few hours that would be great. It's ok to wripe the loose dirt or manure off with a dry cloth or rag, but do not use water or wash the eggs. That will destroy their protective coating and allow bacteria to enter the egg. Hope this will help.

You're so wise! I put mine in the carton and individually turn them...duh!!

Do you use a carton while incubating?

Yes, you either need to use a egg carton while incubating and manually turn the eggs yourself a couple times a day, or you can get an auto turner that would turn your eggs for you eliminating the need for an egg carton.
