Mocha and 1 of my jumbo hens are extremely thin, and we are picking up feed today I currently feed them Sprout Meat Maker which has 24% protein, should I get corn for them to get some more weight on them? Here is the feed they have at our fleet farm, http://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/conditioner/ , http://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/gamebirdshowbird/ , http://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/harvest-delight-poultry-treat/ , http://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/oyster-shell/ , and http://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/poultry-starter/ . Would any of these work including corn?
Thanks!!

I have never used any of those brands of foods before, however I would be careful with corn this time of year. It can really over heat quail. Although you may be far enough north that it doesn't get too warm in the summer. Sunflower seed chips that you can buy in the wild bird seed section, or a mix of sunflower seed chips and nuts might be a better alternative. Those are pretty high in calories and will not produce as much heat as corn.

Don't give them corn, they need protein. Hive them a high protein feed, the poultry conditioner is not a complete feed, the gamebird/showbird will work, but those 5 pound bags are pricey. Oyster shell won't add weight, can you get any other brand? Check some other stores or ask them to order it for you.

I would check them for worms or mites, both of which will call them to lose weight rapidly. Also get them the manna pro gamebird/showbird crumbles, something with more sustenance.
