Need help convincing hubby in buying meat birds.

We are both hunters too, but I do all the game processing. It's a good skill to have, man or woman.

I'm pretty limited in the activities I'm able to do since I broke my neck. I can care for them and keep them clean, I don't think I'm able to process on my own. My dh hunts, so he's use to processing birds. We have duck in the freezer every season.

I broke my neck, too. C-7. I'm somewhat limited as to lifting but have improved greatly in the past ten years. I do process by myself. I only do a couple at a time because I can't do anything which requires being in a certain position for any length of time.

My kids now 3 and 5 do not grow attached to meaties. We have hens that they love, but the meaties... They know will leave soon, they still help feed/give treats.. but when showing fiends around, they say it likreit is.. Theses are our hens, they lay eggs, theses other ones, were gonna eat.. I think kids will learn what you teach them..

They will cope better then us I find.. (I'm still new to the meatie world)
