I am working on a mix of some good layers, some heritage, and colored eggers that are all more docile friendly types that are good for Ohio weather. I have ended up with a few too many chicks. Need to probably get back down to 14-16. Would also love to hear any suggestions on one to add or swap in for one I already have. Here's the line up of what I have: 4 Buff orpington and one is really showing as a cockerel, 2 lavender orp (straight run), 2 black sex link, two Barnevelder, one Australorp, 4 Golden comet, 2 EEs, one Starlight green egger (Hoover hatchery hybrid).

I may have the opportunity for an Ameracauna and thought that might be a good add to hatch out some colored eggers later but not sure. Advice and help! I'm turning in to a crazy chicken collector!

Is it really an Ameraucana...and not another Easter Egger?

Slow down.
Keep a couple of each and get the numbers down to what fits your space for winter.
I assume this is your first year?
Nothing worse than a crowded coop in winter...
.... and the rest of the year too.

Oh, and....Welcome to BYC! @AmyChristine
Are you in northern or southern Ohio?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
