New chicken mama here. Need some help determining if "goldie" my GLW is a hen or roo. She is very feisty (to say it nicely) and has a comb that is getting larger and brighter every day.
Also, I have 2 barred rocks and one has very distinct black and white feathers and barely any tail at all but the other has had tail feathers for 2 weeks and is more greyblack and less white. I believe they are both girls but just wondering. Any info is appreciated. I ordered all hens, but I did pick them up on April fools day so you never know lol

Barred Rocks can be sexed by the barring. One white barring gene is received by the females and the males get two. This makes the females look a lot darker than the males. The wyandotte looks to be male.

uhhh thank you everyone. Not the news I wanted to hear. I figured the GLW was a rooster but I'm sad that the barred rock is too. My daughter is going to be so upset, we cannot keep the roosters where we live.
