Need help fast

Silkie hen has been on an egg and of course I am out of town. Well my mil is watching and feeding and told me we have a chick. The hen came out mad. What do I do ? How do I feed? I won't be home for a few days. First time with a hen having a chick. Should we get the chick out and in a box or will mamma take care of her?

You will need chick feed and the mom will be very protective often pecking and squaking she will care for the chick. you also need a waterer the chick can reach

I have all of that. Should I separate them because I have 4 other silkies in the coop with mom and chick

Ended up pulling mom and babies and moved to another location. I guess I don't need that section of my shop for a while. Total suprise having chicks. Both hens have been broody for quite some time and I guess they got it right now
