Need help finding a quote

I saw a quote on here a while back.

It said something along the lines of "it's easier to count your chickens before they hatch becasue they won't stand still after"

Does anyone out there know this quote or who said it?

It was me... just kidding it originally was from a fairytale the milkmaid and her bucket or something like that. I am not sure about the ending I think someone added that.
