Hi, Need help finding an automatic chicken door that works with my Road Island coop and run. I bought an AITUVAN one and it won't fit flush and I'm worried that it would allow too much draft in the winter- it also is designed to go up and down and won't allow that with the current set up of the run. It can get very cold sometimes in the Kansas City area with Windchill into the -30F.

Can you provide pictures of your setup/where the auto door needs to go?

Do you need a door that opens side to side?
But I also have the attached run (which looked bigger in the picture...) Here is the website. The problem seems to be the frame around the door. also this coop isn't as sturdy as I was hoping for. (My grandpa always built everything like a nuclear war was coming- He had real engineering know-how/old school) https://www.chickencoopcompany.com/...p-designs/products/the-rhode-island-homestead

Here is the auto door I bought. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CW2H53Q9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
The company won't take it back and offered me $5 to keep it.

This goes side to side. I thought you said you had up/down? Either way you could build a frame for it to fit flush. We did the same.
I will try to see if I can retrofit it. I bought it several months ago and I was just now thinking of trying again. :) Thanks for your help.
