Hello i have 5 female pekings that we raised as ducklings. They are 3.5 months old and we love them. The problem we are having is theh are eating away our pond shore pretty good. Its getting to the point where the ducks will have to go. We have a half acre pond full of goodies but they stay in one area and refuseto eat anywhwre else in the water. Its odd that they never really swim to other parts yet stay in the 30 feet area of shoreline. We love them but cant allow them to destroy pond shoreline. Anything i can do or spray to get them to move around and stop erroding this area

It may be that there is something in the pond that worries them.

And it may be that there are raptors in the area that have a better shot at them on the open water.

Ponds are not necessarily the best placed for domestic ducks.

Rather than get rid of them, perhaps you can move them to a pen rather than the pond.

We have a pen inside the barn, about 10x10 we keep them in at nite. Would rather rehome them then keep them penned up. Wish the girls would swim the lake and it would be fine. Didnt think they would stay in one little area and destroy it lol
