Has anyone heard of "Palmer Feed"??? I've heard it has low prices like for example for a baby chick it's like $3. Is that a good price or should I go some where else? What did u pay for your chicken? I want to get about 5-6 chickens but don't know where to go or who to ask. I need help!!!

Hi I just more chickens a week ago but I got my chickens at a tractor supplice & Co. they should have them but for a little bit . also federal co ops have the chickens + more but they will have them all year long. The feeder you herd about will be any where with chickens it takes a mason jar and you should use if for a week and then get a trof feeder . If you need any more starting help just send me a message :)

! Pleased you joined us! I've heard of Palmer Feed but only from reading about it on BYC. As to prices (for my area at least) anywhere from $2.50-$3.00 for most pullets - Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orps, Leghorns, etc. More for the rarer breeds. Meat birds (Cornish X) are considerably less - I've seen them as low as 75 cents when they are getting older and tougher to get rid of. So, I'd say your store is pretty much in line price wise. Good luck to you.

Thank you!!! For a second I was double guessing myself if I should ever get chickens...but I know were to go!! thanks again.
