Need help, Hen kicked broken egg out of nest, chick still alive

Is it possible to save this baby? I believe it’s on day 20, it is chirping and moving. I do not have an incubator, I put it under a heat lamp and have it wrapped in a damp paper towel. What else can I do for it?

Did the egg fall from any height? if so, how much of a height?

If not, than if it's on day 20 the chick should end up alright. May need a little more nutrients depending on if it was going to hatch today or tomorrow. See when it gets out of the shell, I recommend not messing with it too much but keeping a close eye. As soon as it gets out of the shell, make sure it has some kind of food or water (even though it wont take it right away) and go from there.

The egg did not fall, I’m pretty sure now another hen tried to get in the box with the broody and it was stepped on.

if it doesnt hatch by the end of today, i think it might be too late for the poor thing. i hope that isnt the case, though.

You may want to use some vegetable type oil or Vaseline to keep the membrane from drying out.
