So we have a chicken we purchased from a local who buys from hatcheries and then raises them up and sells them at a few weeks old.
We purchased what we thought were 5 pullets. I believe the post said black star, easter egger's barred rock. So we selected 5. It was a very dark area where they were housed so we just picked out 5 that we could see and find. We have one that has been a mystery from about 4 weeks on. I was questioning if it was a rooster or just a very large hen. The youth that helped us get our selected birds said maybe it was a black jersey giant it was bigger than the rest.
Today she started crowing. So now we are wondering what type of rooster we have.
I will post a series of photo's. We now call him Peter. His legs are a slate color. I believe he has a pea comb? The coloring is dark (black) at the neck and he has red coloring also. As long as we have had him (since about 3 weeks) he never had back tail feathers.
Please help us figure out what breed he is.

Looks like an araucana mix. (Easter egger)

Thanks so much for the help. The place we got them did have a bunch of chickens all over the place of many different breeds so he could be a barnyard mix. I was just confused with no muff and beard. He is very gentle and docile. Almost a scaredy cat.

Kind of looks like a Welsummer to me.
