Hi,
My daughter went to a sleepover 2 weeks ago and can home with a dozen eggs. They started hatching and I am trying to figure out what they are. They are all from the same rooster which my daughter didn't see because it was killed by the family dog two days prior. She said the hens were black so when the first hatched it looked just like any pic I've seen of the black australorp, but when a few more hatched they were more grey/silver and yellow with a few darker areas, rather pretty. The people we got them from had no idea what they had so they aren't any help. So far we have 3 black and yellow and 3 of the silver/grey and yellow. We are in Maine so it is a pretty hardy breed if that helps. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Krista
