Need help identifying............CREEPY!!

I noticed these too around the edges of my pond that is frozen. All fresh snow with no animal tracks leading up to it...
They were made by sparrows wings as they land and then flap wings to fly away. sorry no monster here!

are you sure a bird didnt scrape its wing tips in the snow

My first reaction was it looks like someone scooped up some snow. Maybe finger marks, maybe wing tips. In either case, I think your birds are going to be just fine.
